1950s Cotton Sundress by Murray K California 50s Cotton Day Dress 50's Women's Vintage Size XS

Rare vintage 50s dress with wool bodice and felt circle skirt with gorgeous ribbon-butterfly print. Belt included.

The black wool bodice features a boat neckline with pleat detail and 3/4 sleeves (a slight dolman sleeve).
The skirt is a stiff felt in dark ivory with black, blue and white ribbons in butterfly shapes outlined in metallic gold.

Good vintage condtion: no fading, no stains, the metal zipper works great, the seams are strong and the colors are vibrant. The bodice has multiple holes throughout and a tear near the waistline (hidden by belt). The skirt is absolutely perfect as far as I can see. I was afraid to have this dry cleaned, but I freshened it up and steamed it. The bodice has a very slight storage smell (you have to really press it to your face to smell it).

Truly an amazing and rare example of a favorite decade for fashion!
