Rare early 60s cotton bikini purchased by a mom for her daughter in Paris (while Dad wasn't looking). Bikinis were still considered pretty scandalous in the US at that time and the very first bikini was invented in France in 1956.
In a beautiful turquoise blue with white fringe, a little tie on the bikini top and the bottoms are low cut hiphuggers.
The top is in great condition, no stains or fading. The hip elastic on the bottoms is stretched out, but the elastic around the legs is in great condition. The front top of the bottoms has some mild staining.
Approximately a XS, pictured on a size 4 mannequin and barely fit. There is no stretch to the fabric, please see measurements:
