1970s does 1940s Rayon Romper Dress - Matching Belt Included- 70s Jumpsuit - 70s Women's Vintage Size Medium/Large

70s does 40s rayon dress but, SURPRISE, it's a jumper! This is the prettiest 70s homage to 40s fashion I've ever seen; the fabric, the colors. the gorgeous print, the adorable sleeves everything is just perfect! In my 30+ years of selling vintage, I've never seen a piece quite like this.

Features a classic 40s silhouette, a crew neckline, puffed and tapered sleeves, metal toggle buttons on top of the shoulders (they're real, can be unbuttoned), a matching belt and a beautiful skirt which ia actually wide-legged short pants. The waist is at the natural waistline on the sides with a slight dip in front and back, which is cute but you can't see it with the belt on.
The fabric is nice and flowy and the cor is a dark charcoal, almost black. The bright floral print just pops!

Excellent vintage condition: no tears, stains, holes, fading or repairs. The elastic in the waist only has a little stretch left but is not noticeable when belted.

Home drycleaned and steamed by me. Found at an estate sale so it was nice and clean anyway, plus I no longer trust my local dry cleaners with vintage.

Approximately a size medium but could snuggly fit a large. Pictured on a size 10 mannequin with some wiggle room. No stretch to the fabric. Please see measurements:
