Antique Miniature Painted Bisque Dollhouse Dolls 4" Tall - German Boy and Girl Souvenir Dolls - Antique German Dolls - Collectible Dolls

Miniature dollhouse dolls of painted bisque, each jointed at the shoulders and hips, both with beautiful faces and hair. See the sly look in the boy's eyes while the little girl has an almost angelic, thoughtful look? These were sold in Germany, they're dressed in traditional German clothing and were nice souvenirs to bring home. The clothing is gauze and cotton and just too cute. They each have their own 4.5" glass case with rubber cork (bell jars) and they were likely sold in them, I believe this to be their original 1920s packaging. I've seen the plastic version of these dolls, which came later, and the plastic packaging looks very similar.
Both marked "Germany"; the boy has a stamp on his arm and the girl's is molded into the back of her hair.

The girl has a painted rub or paint chip on the front of her hair and in places on her shoes. One of her shoes is chipped in the back. The boy has a couple of paint chips on his left arm. The clothing is sewn on and it's in great condition.
