Gorgeous late 1930s, early 1940s silk dress in creamy beige with white clover design.
The bodice has crystal pleats on the yoke shoulders and more pleating down the front of the bodice. It has a bow detail at the top and a six button closure.
The waist is fitted and the skirt has long pleats all the way around the hip area, they open up just under the hip to reveal the other swirly print on this gorgeous fabric.
Finished with a metal side zipper.
Good to excellent vintage condition: no fading or tears, the seams are strong and the zipper works great. The buttons look like they were painted to match (nothing went to waste back then). There is a small smudge on the bodice and a small repair on the back of the skirt and another tiny repair on the bodice.
This dress was carefully and lovingly stored and has no strange odor of any kind I didn't launder it as garments of this age may have a finite number of cleanings left.
